Beat Detective and Manual Editing: If your stems are recorded to a specific tempo, we use Beat Detective inside of Pro Tools or manual editing techniques to align instruments (like drums, bass and guitars) to the grid. For recordings without a set tempo, we digitally map your song to the closest tempo before applying any edits to provide a tight foundation for your song before it goes for mixing.

Bass Quantization: For multitrack or even just a DI bass recording, we manually edit each bass note with extreme precision, so that the transients of your bass aligns perfectly with kick drum hits (if needed). This enhances the track’s feel as it allows other instruments to not be drowned out by the kick or the bass which then sit neatly over each other. Editing each bass note transient to be almost perfectly in phase with each kick drum transient will provide your song with the punchiest possible rhythm section.
